As Attorney General, I am fighting to protect our Second Amendment rights at every turn.
While in the Legislature, I had a solid voting record in support of our Second Amendment rights, and since my first session earned a consistent “A” rating from the NRA and TSRA. The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution prevents the government from infringing upon our right to personally keep and bear arms.
I signed an amicus brief on the McDonald v. Chicago case to the U.S. Supreme Court in defense of our right to keep and bear arms and to prevent local ordinances from infringing on that right. The McDonald case extends the constitutional protection of individual rights to state and local government laws as well to ensure that no government entity may set local policies that infringe upon our right to personally keep and bear arms.
Help us honor the Second Amendment!
