Longtime Respected Texas Party Leader Joins Team Paxton

McKinney, Texas – Today, Republican candidate for Attorney General Ken Paxton announced a key endorsement from Ernest Angelo, Jr., of Midland, a longtime respected Texas business, civic, and Republican leader.

A former Midland mayor, Mr. Angelo has been active in Republican campaigns for more than forty years. He served as Republican National Committeeman, co-chairman of President Ronald Reagan’s first Texas campaign in 1976, chairman of President Reagan’s 1980 Texas primary, and most recently as Campaign Treasurer for Texas Comptroller Susan Combs. Angelo is a veteran campaign advisor and strategist for dozens of Republicans, including leadership roles in the campaigns of Governor Rick Perry, Governor George W. Bush and Presidents George Bush and Ronald Reagan.
