Last week I was proud to publicly announce my transition advisory team. I’m excited as we work through this transition and prepare for the years ahead. We are building a highly qualified and dedicated team that will be ready to defend Texas and ensure we are protected from an overreaching federal government. The full list is at the bottom of this email.

Chip Roy will head the agency as First Assistant Attorney General upon my swearing-in. Chip is a longtime friend, and someone whose counsel I trust. He has served Texas as a federal prosecutor, in the Governor’s office, and most recently in the U.S. Senate, building and guiding Senator Ted Cruz’ team in the Capitol. I am pleased that he will bring his strong legal mind, devotion to liberty, and servant’s heart to the Office of Attorney General as First Assistant.

In addition, our team launched a transition website for those interested in applying for positions in the Attorney General’s office for this coming year.

Be sure to visit www.PaxtonTransition.com to watch for additional news or to learn about positions in our office!

For Texas.
