It’s that time of year again: Dust off the backpack, pack the lunchbox, and send the kids back to school. For a lot of parents, it’s a bittersweet time because their little ones aren’t so little anymore; they are growing and learning which is always fun to watch. For some parents, sending their child to school is nerve-wracking: What are they learning? What if I don’t agree with what they’re teaching my child? As a parent, do I have any authority?

Dallas Police Association Endorses Ken Paxton for Attorney General

The Dallas Police Association (DPA) today endorsed Republican Ken Paxton for Texas Attorney General, citing their confidence that the McKinney attorney is the most qualified candidate and will work closely with law enforcement to protect the families, schools and businesses of Texas.

CLEAT Endorses Sen. Ken Paxton for Texas Attorney General

The Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas announced today that it is endorsing state Sen. Ken Paxton in the 2014 race for Texas Attorney General.

“Law enforcement officers all across Texas have a true friend in Senator Paxton,” said CLEAT Executive Director Charley Wilkison. “He has the experience and judgment to understand the grave threats they face every time they put on their uniform and head out to protect the public.”

Senator Paxton accepted the endorsement of the state’s largest law enforcement officers’ organization after meeting with several of its rank-and-file members and staff at its Austin Headquarters on Tuesday morning.
