The board of directors of the Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) political arm, the TFB Friends of Agriculture Fund (AGFUND), Inc., announced today a unanimous endorsement of Republican nominee Ken Paxton in the race for Texas Attorney General.

“Senator Paxton has a strong record of standing up for property rights, fighting the overreach of the EPA and keeping the heavy hand of government at bay,” said Kenneth Dierschke, president of TFB and AGFUND. “We support Senator Paxton’s goals of limited and efficient government.”

Dierschke is a grain and cotton farmer from San Angelo. He says Paxton understands agriculture’s role in the Texas economy.

“A substantial portion of the Texas economy and job market rests on agriculture, so it is crucial we have a strong Attorney General defending it,” Dierschke said. “Ken Paxton is the right man for the job.”

The Texas Farm Bureau is the state’s largest organization of farm, ranch and rural families. AGFUND is its political action arm funded by donations from members.

Senator Paxton has recently earned key endorsements from leading organizations and associations which represent thousands of Texans, including the National Federation of Independent Business/Texas (NFIB SAFE Trust), the political arm of the Texas Association of Business (the Business and Commerce Political Action Committee), the Manufacturing PAC of Texas (MPACT), Texans for Lawsuit Reform (TLRPAC), Texas Medical Association (TEXPAC), Texas Association of Builders (HOMEPAC), and the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA PAC).
