Victory for Traditional Marriage: Attack by Rogue Judge Stopped by Texas Supreme Court This has been a momentous week in our efforts to defend the Constitution and uphold the rule of law.

Late Monday evening, a federal judge halted President Obama’s executive order granting de facto legal status to millions of illegal immigrants. As Attorney General, I will continue to fight President Obama’s unilateral re-write of United States immigration policy.

Then this morning, a rogue state District Judge in Austin instructed the Travis County Clerk to certify a marriage license for a same sex couple. That license is invalid, just as any license issued in violation of state law would be.

Victory: Judge Blocks Obama’s Illegal Amnesty Plan

Texas Wins Victory for Rule of Law A federal District Judge just struck down almost the entirety of President Obama’s executive action granting de facto amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants and allowing them to “obtain a variety of both state and federal benefits.”

This is a victory for the rule of law in America and a crucial first step in reining in President Obama’s lawlessness!

This injunction makes it clear that the President is not a law unto himself, and must work with our elected leaders in Congress and satisfy the courts in a fashion our Founding Fathers envisioned.
